What is Wushu ?
Wushu, often referred to as “Kung Fu” is the Chinese term for martial arts. In Chinese, ‘Wu’(武) means martial, ‘shu’(术) means art. According to the ancient Chinese dictionary, the character “Wu’ (武) means to end the war.
Thousands of years ago, when people lived in a world of constant war, Wushu was an essential skill to ensure the safety and wellness of one’s family. In modern days, Wushu has become one of the most famous ancient martial arts.
What is Tai Chi Quan ?
Tai chi Quan, (Often referred to as ‘Tai Chi’ in the West) is the soft or internal form of martial arts. Tai chi utilizes slow controlled movements and a focus on inner strength. The goal is for the mind and body to work in cooperative motion. In this way, Tai chi supports both physical and mental well-being.
What is Belt Rank System?
A promotional system for students via testing. Students start from beginners and test into higher belts as they progress in class.
